Performance

In the daily work, I always do my best and strive to (over)achieve my goals. I'm engaged on every possible front — and it's quality involvement!

To give you an overview of the past year:

  • took over a top-tier portfolio — only after the first month the rate of inactive hosts was 20%pts lower YoY, and 91% lower YoY after the third month; added 54 new hosts to the portfolio in two months, more than twice the team average for that period

  • acheived all the targets in the last term, as the only one in the team

  • successfully led several projects as part of department OKRs, receiving positive feedback from project team members on the leadership style

  • continuing to grow the member base at a steady rate, using original ideas — there's no innovation without experimentation!

  • hosting regular online sessions for event hosts, coming up with new themes and formats to keep engagement levels high, preparing branded presentations and notes, sharing ideas and materials with the whole team

  • showing great understanding of the product by answering questions from other team members readily and often (on Slack as well as in virtual meetings), creating Jira tickets after spotting bugs, and sharing improvement ideas with Team Lead

  • always well-prepared for monthly reviews, with a clear action plan already in mind, and supporting other team members in developing their portfolios

Nurturing Growth and Unity

  • initiated a Work from the Office Day and Virtual Coffee Breaks to foster team spirit and relationship building

  • organised an in-office farewell party for Team Lead moving out of the country

  • offered new team members to shadow my interview and onboarding calls to enable better understanding of the manager role

  • initiated peer learning sessions and hosted first ones: Creating Twigs & Using Mailer, Quality Check Refresher for Activities & Events, Leveraging the Power of Social Media

  • held a training session for interns, Self-Development: How Not to Fall Into the Void of Everyday Life

  • supported Team Lead by offering to hold an onboarding session for two new team members after noticing her calendar is jam-packed

  • attended Negotiation and Persuasion Workshop to improve communication and relationship building both with customers and peers

  • proactively participating in team meetings and channels — saved some questions from awkward silence several times

  • using a more informal Slack channel to connect with team members, put a smile on their face and keep spirits high, or just show that someone’s probably having a worse day than they are

Innovating for Progress

  • requested multiple SQL queries from the BI Team to improve recruiting, onboarding, activation and retention processes, as well as event host recognition and feedback requests

  • introduced several non-discriminating one-liners to ensure more gender-equal events in communities struggling with low female-male ratio

  • suggested a 3-step warning system for hosts who publish events with short lead time

  • came up with a unique cross-feature strategy for 17 communities to reach a wider target audience according to the geographical position and political situation

  • guided team members to promote events in an original way to boost sign-ups and paid membership upgrades in their communities, having in mind the company's financial performance

  • came forward with a new strategy to improve sales in smaller and less active communities, which would add to the company's revenue
